Thank you so much for what what a wonderful day for the children! Jaxton came home and said “I want to go there every day. She is so nice!” They were all just tickled by the whole experience and were delighted to tell me about every detail.
I am a second-year student in the UCLA EMPH program.
Thank you so much for bringing us such a wonderful learning experience about business etiquette.
I appreciate you providing lots of details and meanings behind each action.
For example, you explained “why” it would be better to close the door without turning my body so I could demonstrate my confidence. You shared that holding a drink while walking around would make me look approachable.
(After knowing the “why,” I could remember easily and do it more naturally!)
You also delivered some tips that were easier to remember, such as “BMW” / “b & d.” Before this class, I was often confused about which fork or knife I was supposed to use. Now I know I can comfortably take the right fork and knife when I go for fine dining!
Another key takeaway is how to join a group conversation naturally. I had a hard time when I encountered this situation, and I used to feel uncomfortable joining in the middle of a group conversation. After learning some skills from this class, I will practice more, and I believe I will do better and better!
It was amazing that I have learned so much from this 2+ hours class! All the tips, knowledge, and details are appreciated!
Thank you very much!
Thank you Kari! Yes, my daughter definitely got a lot out of her time with you today and she is looking forward to putting it into practice. I was even amazed at the few minutes that I was able to listen in. I love the role playing! I always tell her to ask questions but you demonstrated how and what questions to ask as well as when to insert them into the conversation. Brilliant!
It was so nice to meet you virtually! Our members learned a lot from you! We really had a lot of fun practicing as well! I really loved how you demonstrated live on zoom how to hold the fork and knives! I actually had a date that evening with my boyfriend and I taught him all I learned from you. Hopefully, these details can help me land a job when I graduate!
Thank you so much for sharing your time and professional expertise with me this afternoon. It was very helpful and reassuring for me.
Your fun events have quickly become the favorite activity for the whole Montessori 4th grade crew!

First, I wanted to let you know that my son, Richard, very much enjoyed the teen sceen class yesterday (Sunday May 2, 2021). I am impressed top on his list was to be a good listener. That is a skill most people do not have and many more do not know that it is needed. He gave your class 8/10 and would return for your help with his interview. Again, thank you.
When I told my girls they were taking a dining etiquette class they said, “MoooooM, it’s going to be so boring.” However, after taking the class they were both eager to show me what they learned. The teacher had great energy and the girls said that she seemed passionate about what she does. I complete agree. Tonight the girls will be setting the table and are looking forward to showing me what they learned. Their favorite part was learning how to cut the fruit with a knife. My girls are 7 & 10! Both me and the girls were happy with class and look forwarding to seeing what other classes Mrs. Doody has.
Thank you so much for everything you have done for both of the boys. Yes, Levi sounded like such a little angel during your class today and was happily correcting our manners during dinner. It was adorable. I could tell that Aidan enjoyed his class as well and even acknowledged that it was useful and was interested in taking your course on interviewing for college in the future.

Dining 101- “I choose this class for my kids (7, 10) against their wishes, but they loved it and have been teaching us what they learned. Thank you!!”
Hi Kari,
We just launched our Personal Growth opportunities and yours is by far the favorite! I am so thrilled to have connected with you, and wanted you to know that you are a big hit!!
Take care!
Hi! I heard some of it as Dominique was in our dining room. Thank you, you were awesome! Do you have any of your courses for older kids? Maybe other etiquete courses built on this one? Now she is 12 and they start going to parties, to friends houses meeting their parents, having dinners, going to plays, etc. Just overall etiquete. If you do, let us know so we can sign up. Thank you so much, you were loving and engaging, excellent job, you know you stuff! Luciane- parent
Our boys Dean & James did your dining class & we’re so impressed with how it “stuck”. They are great diners!
Kari,
I wanted to thank you for the “business etiquette” and “social etiquette” program services you provided. You have completely changed how I engage people and helped me understand how I have been perceived in the past. Following your instruction, I have begun to build professional relationships at the office and have a stronger awareness of my demeanor. The praise and positive feedback I have received from colleagues and my supervisor can only be a result of the great work that you do. You have changed my life and I will be forever grateful.
I just wanted to thank you for working with my son today. He found it very helpful and the information extremely useful! He also said you made it fun and the hour went by fast.. An 18 year old not bored?? Really??!!!! So thanks again!!

Just wanted to say thanks for yesterday. The kids had a great time and Gracelyn is asking when can she go back and do it again! Not only that but last night at dinner we couldn’t believe the transformation as she was telling us all about the things she learned! She must have went on for 30 minutes at least! She was cutting her food with a knife and eating the way you taught her. She did not gobble her food in her mouth like she normally does. My husband and I were absolutely amazed! We just hope it continues this way more often than not. We definitely look forward to more of your classes. It was an amazing transformation!
Kari – just wanted to say a huge thank you for your presentation today – I thought it was AWESOME! We went to dinner tonight with some friends and Abby was very proud of herself for remembering how to sit, and how to use her knife. I was impressed that she remembered so much from today. Truly, it was terrific and I so appreciate you taking the time to meet with the girls.
“My son is an outgoing person, but when it came to ordering at restaurants and looking adults in the eye, it was hard for him. After taking one “Courteous & Cool” class, he is ordering by himself and using his manners! I think “C&C” gave him the confidence he needed to speak to adults with respect. We enjoy our times out even more now that he feels comfortable.”
Nicholas took Kari’s class on Sunday and loved it! He was nervous going in, but left with a big smile – when I asked him how he liked it – he said “she is cool – she knows a lot of cool tricks”
A big thanks, Parker has really benefited from your class. He now sets the table every night (correctly, I might add!) and he is asking how else he can help all the time. He asked our neighbor behind us if he could take our her trash for her, I think he was very disappointed when she said no!! Let me know if you are going to do a “level 2” class 😉 I have been recommending your class to everyone I know! Thanks again
Can I just say that this class is totally awesome! Tyler already has brought up so many topics and has shown actual progress in all of those areas on the “sticker chart”. AMAZING! He even set the table last night for the first time in his life when my two sisters came over for dinner…impressive. I think it’s actually kind of challenging him in a weird way and making him think of being more considerate overall. He even helped Cassidy with her homework tonight!! Really so glad you are teaching this and I will spread the word!! I just love the handouts as well…so that we know what’s happening. You know boys…they only say like 2 words when you ask “what did you do today in class?”. Anyhow, LOVE IT! Thank you so much for doing it!!
Thank you for the great class! Sam is showing off his power words and he was the most popular guy at my sister’s party (mostly adults). Everyone knew his name and said how great he was! He was so proud, and he wanted me to let you know! I am anxiously awaiting a class for our 5th grader. Thank you!!!
And I have the photo to prove it!! Please see attached as evidence that my son IS capable of eating pasta with a knife and fork! I have asked him for years to not shovel pasta in to his mouth with his hands and on a good day we would get it shoveled in with a fork instead. After the last manners class, he actually put his napkin in his lap, cut his penne into bite sized pieces, and ate slowly, chewing thoroughly. Unbelievable! We have seen such a huge difference in his table manner. I can’t thank you enough.
Hi Kari!
I can’t stop thinking about you! I was so super impressed with your lessons and the way you taught the girls! Thank you so much for coming! We really enjoyed having you! We would love for you to come back again – possibly in the fall?
I wanted to thank you so much for coming to our girl scout meeting tonight. It was a perfect little lesson for these girls and I hope they continue to use some of the fun things you have taught them. I took a few notes so we can review them at our next couple of meetings. As soon as my daughters got home, they couldn’t wait to tell their Dad all about the new things they learned and show them how to set the table and why they set the table the way they did. Since you have kids of your own, I know how busy your schedule must be but we really do appreciate you coming out of your way to share your passion for manners with our troop.
WOW!! All I heard about from Luke on the car ride home was how fun your class was, how he wished the next class was tomorrow and how he can’t wait to sign up for the next class. All this from the boy who won’t wear pants to cotillion! Thank you so much, the kids clearly had a ton of fun.
Last week we took Olivia and her sister to the Reagan Library. She took a “Dinner at the White House Etiquette” interactive quiz and scored 100%! She was so cool and confident! Some of the older ladies didn’t know a few of the answers that Olivia got correct. It was a very happy moment in my daughters life. She told her grandparents she had just completed a course in proper etiquette. Keep up the good work.
I just wanted to thank you, again, for a wonderful camp experience. My kids loved it! They spent an hour after camp today describing in detail all the things they learned…. and they actually fought over who would set the dinner table! Hilarious. I know the enthusiasm won’t last forever, but it was really great to see today and I am so grateful to you for making etiquette and manners fun!
