Boys & Girls Ages 7-12
2 Day workshop/ 2 hours each day- 4 Hours of instruction $300/student
This 2 day workshop can be taken independently or following our signature Camp Courteous & Cool series. During this workshop we will discuss the importance of character and why making good choices in life will make a lasting impression with others. Although we can’t choose our kids friends for them, we can help guide them in making and maintaining healthy friendships. Throughout the class we will discuss empathy, thoughtfulness, patience and kindness – some of the greatest skills we can help our children learn.

- What does it mean to be a person of good character?
- Why is good character important?
- Reasons and consequences for good and bad behavior
- Knowing right from wrong and standing up for yourself and others around you
- Being a leader and not a follower
- Making good choices
- How to handle aggressive individuals without becoming one
- Sincere apologies vs. insincere apologies
- Choosing good friends
- Handling difficult situations with friends
- Identifying bullies and how to combat the issues
More than table manners
- The difference between casual & formal dining
- Gentleman- Helping ladies with chairs and coats
- How to handle hand passed Hors D’oeuvres at special events. ex. Bar Mitzvahs,weddings etc.
- Interacting with waiters
- When to start eating in large or small groups
- How to make sure you don’t take the wrong bread plate or water glass at a table
- How to properly use utensils- Continental vs. American Style
- Buffet etiquette
- Italian Meal- How to eat spaghetti properly (An Italian meal will be served.)
There is a non-refundable $25 booking fee for each course. Courses cannot be refunded or exchanged within 1 week of a course date.
